REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene
This REHIS (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) approved and certificated course is designed to inform and train candidates to a recognised national standard in basic food hygiene principles.
REHIS Elementary Health & Safety
This REHIS (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) approved and certificated course has been designed to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries at work by providing candidates with a basic knowledge and understanding of current health and safety legislation and guidance towards adopting safe working practices in the workplace.
Risk Assessment
This course is designed to train candidates to be competent in the principles of risk assessment, giving them the skills and confidence to competently carry out and record real risk assessments in the workplace in accordance with current health and safety legislation.
The course is a mix of theory, practical demonstration and candidate participation.
Safe Entry into Confined Spaces
A more in-depth course aimed at individuals who carry out work within confined spaces and covering general confined space safety including safe systems of work, monitoring equipment, winches and harnesses and escape breathing apparatus. Classroom and practical exercises.
Safer People Handling
This course is designed to provide candidates with theoretical and practical training under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and is specifically aimed at personnel who may be required to assist people with mobility difficulties who are in their care.
Delegates will only be trained on handling aids that will be available to them in their working environment.
Sharps (Dealing with Discarded Needles etc.)
This course aims to reduce the instances of injury and infection when dealing with discarded needles and other drug related waste. To give an indication of the scale of the problem, showing the types of risks involved, the range of problem items and common places where they are likely to be found.

Vehicle Banksman/Signaller
This course is designed to minimise the risk of accident and injury to personnel, damage to property and equipment when manoeuvring vehicles within the workplace. It will provide candidates with an awareness of potential hazards including presence of other personnel, vehicles and plant, height restrictions, one-way systems, ground conditions and movement or space restrictions.
It will instruct candidates how to operate a safe system of work for vehicle movements in the workplace.

Water-Jetting
This course aims to give candidates training and practical knowledge of hazards associated with water-jetting operations. Candidates will be able to safely operate water-jetting equipment for sewer and drain cleaning. Course will also cover maintenance and routine checks on equipment and the proper selection of personal protective equipment for the task.
Workplace Safety Awareness
This course is designed to provide candidates with an awareness of basic health & safety regulations and to raise their understanding of general safety in the workplace.  By providing general safety awareness to individuals, we aim to reduce incidents of workplace accidents, injuries to personnel and damage to equipment and property.
Workplace Safety Representatives
This course aims to provide candidates with an understanding of the role and responsibilities of a workplace safety representative. The course is designed to give candidates an understanding of current health and safety legislation and an in-depth awareness of workplace safety and to enable them to assist their employer in reducing the risk of accident, injury to personnel and damage to equipment and property in the workplace.
